REPORT ON OUR 2009 SHOW
BRITISH CAR & MOTOR BIKE SHOW
The club's 7th annual British car show was held July 26, 2009. It was an overcast day, and the weather report was for rain and thunder storms. But the event went on with only a couple of light sprinkles.Attendance was down due to the weather reports, of course. There were 75 cars and two motorbikes, for a total of 77.
Bob and Gloria Cook from Strongsville, Ohio, were back for a second year with their well-traveled black 1974 MGB, which placed third in the Chrome Bumper MGB class. They have driven more than 350,000 miles in the MGB, all over the continent. Another long-distance traveler at our show was Paul Welsh, who drove a 1974½ MGB from Toronto, Canada, to the BCCNEPA British Car Show.
This year the club chose to handle the food concession itself, for the third year. It was a great success, so thanks to all the BCCNEPA volunteers.
Thanks also to Ron and Lisa Roberts for running the Chinese auction and door prizes. This is the third year for distributing door prizes, and each year it gets better. Thanks to all who donated items for the door prize giveaway and the Chinese auction.
We also again had a 50-50 drawing, which paid out $189 to Kim de Bourbon from the Keystone Region MG Club. (We hear she used the money toward attending the British Marque Car Club News Triathlon in the Berkshires.) Thanks to Nancy Krebs, Karen Hornbeck and Jenny Cooney for handling ticket sales.
We again enjoyed the music of the Rossi-McGurl Project, who were back at our show for the fifth year. This year the club also signed up five new members at the show, so welcome to the club!

And again, thanks and appreciation to all the club members who provided equipment and volunteered to help work the show. Without the help and support of our club members, the show would not have been a success. So thanks again!
