REPORT ON OUR 2007 SHOW

BRITISH CAR SHOW of Northeast Pennsylvania

In 2007, we held our fifth show. We beat our 2006 number and had 80 British cars and one British motorcycle.

The weather cooperated, though all week the forecast looked like rain. The British Car Club of Northeast Pennsylvania thanks all members, show entrants and the walk-ins for making the day a success.

After looking forward to the new food vendor and waiting for coffee and breakfast while setting up, we learned the poor fellow's food wagon was stuck in mud at a previous fair and unable to get towed out. Our members pulled together, went to the supermarket for supplies, charcoal etc. and utilized the park's grill. We had hamburgers, hot dogs soda and water. Club volunteers did a marvelous job of improvising and feeding the hungry crowd. With the bake sale and ice cream, no one went hungry.

A special thanks to Ron Roberts and Lisa Jumper and their helpers for the door prize and raffle set-ups. The new system went well. Thanks to all who donated toward this.

Lou Danzico and Chris from Comcast Cable "Scranton Today" (TV 61) continued taping for their segment on the club and our show. Watch it here!

The bake sale, 50/50 ticket sales and regalia sale all went well, and we enjoyed the music of The Rossi/McGurl Project.

Congratulations to all show winners (listed below).

Again, thanks and appreciation to all club members who provided equipment and volunteered to help work the show. Without your help and support the show would not be a success!
